Adopting a baby is a major decision and may be taken for many different reasons. Potential parents are put under greater

scrutiny than biological parents ever are. Their homes, lifestyle and health are all under the microscope. People wanting

baby adoptions in the UK have been turned down because they smoke or are overweight.

Adopting from the developing world is quite fashionable these days, due to some high profile baby adoptions by celebrities.

This has always been controversial in that a child is being removed from their own country and culture.

There will probably never be enough people wanting to adopt, given the amount of babies and children needing adoption all

over the world. Methods of achieving biological children are increasing all the time. Children with disabilities or severe

emotional problems are difficult to place. By the time a child reaches teenage years, there isn't much hope of placing them.

Most people want a perfect, bouncing baby and there will always be a demand for baby adoptions.

The need for raising children is very strong and does not always depend on biological ties. Bonding with an adopted child is

a similar process to having a natural childbirth. Baby adoptions demand the same nurturing instinct from the parents. Most

parents adopting, feel that the child is an instant part of the family.

There are many agencies that deal with adoptions and it's essential to register with a reputable one. It's also important to
