Coach is often overbooked on these flights, but that can work to your advantage with a little flexibility. Frequent fliers can get even better deals during the vacation season.

When picking a vacation destination, bear in mind the time of year that you intend to travel in. Calling a travel agent to check on popular locations for a particular time of year is one of the best ways to get a bit of guidance towards the cheapest tickets. You can also call the flight airways directly to ask. They are usually glad to potential customers about their seasonal specials. Additionally, members have the first chance to upgrade to first class and will be the last to be bumped from an overbooked flight. Another common offer is a deeply discounted cost in miles for a vacation ticket, mirroring the price discount. It can be a great way to maximize your miles and get the most of your membership, but all in all, the vacation offers available are a great deal for everyone.
