Equine Holidays – The Beauty Of Ireland Experienced On Horse Back

Ireland’s rich cultural history has lead to an increase in tourism during the last thirty years and the celebrations for St Patrick’s Day are shared on a world-wide scale, and celebrated the world over too! Ireland is as much about the romantic country side and cultural history as it is trying new activities or just enjoying ones you already do.

There are over 25 racecourses in Ireland with 300 meetings annually and plenty of horses for sale at shows including Goffs, with the premium of Irish horse stock shown. There are also fairs to visit including the Dublin Horse Show which is the largest but many smaller shows have just as much to offer. The emerald isle also boasts a specialized exhibit, The Dartfield Horse Museum to explore the relationship between man and horse through the interactive activities and exhibits.

The spectacular back drop and natural beauty of the surroundings means it is an ideal location to try horse riding at whatever level of experience you have. New comers are accepted along-side experienced and professional riders and holidays can be made for everyone. Many equestrian holidays available with centers offering their unique situations and interpretation an equestrian holiday. Certain centers will have particular clientele in mind but most can cater to a varying range of customer from beginner to expert and young to old.

During the last two decades many equestrian schools have joined forces to make a touring circuit and this has been very successful. Whatever your ideal scenery you can experience horse riding amongst some of the most spectacular scenery that can be seen from the range of coastal mountains to low central plains. The stables are found in most counties and each offers a wide variety of equestrian based activities.

There are several riding schools that also offer tuition in the English Language suitable for 12 year olds and over especially with international clientele in mind, with tutors qualified in International studies and Communication studies and have the relevant certificates. Some stables specialize for the adult market (30 years and over) who are inexperienced offering a fortnight intensive training to begin your new equine activity. These type of stables are likely to be more quiet relaxing and even romantic atmospheres and tuitions are given either as a one to one or very small groups with riding instructors constantly present for your safety.

Particular centers can offer a combination of golfing and horse riding for your stay with prestigious and challenging golf courses for your enjoyment. The natural course of the land has created some amazing features to augment the scenery of your activities. There are also holiday farms who supply horse riding as part of the holiday alongside living on a farm which is particularly exciting for any children or people who love animals who could really enjoy the life style of the farm.
