Seo Advice

Website titles are those nifty little pieces of text that show up in the very top blue bar on your browser window. An Example Can be seen at http://www.seoserviceuk.comWhen you open this page you will see at the very top of that blue browser line the words Seo Services UK | Seo Marketing Company - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by 'whoever'. This does obviously depend on the browser and for this particular purpose we are using microsoft internet explorer.Titles And Why They Are Important Seo ToolsWebsite Titles are the very first clue that you give to the search engines as regards the relevancy of your page to the content it contains. In other words if you have failed to tell the search engines exactly what you would prefer your website page to rank for, then they have to 'guess' from the content contained within the page. Believe me, they come up with some really strange answers if you omit this vital piece of information. You have to imagine for a moment, that you are writing a book, and without a title for that book nobody would know what the book was about. Obviously leaving your book to sit on the shelf and never be noticed. It is the same principle regarding each page on your website, only the 'book' now converts into a page on your website.Once you have your title for the 'book' now you can proceed to add information to it, always ensuring that the content of the book is relevant to it's title. How To Find Website TitlesFirstly to find the html code for your website, go to your home page and click on ' View ', just underneath the top of the browser window. Now, click on ' Source ' this will normally show up the html coding for the particular website. The top few lines of that source code will read something very similar to this :SEO Services | UK Seo CompanyThe title tag should always if possible come immediately after the , and should contain within the tags the selected keywords you wish to rank highly for. In our example we wish to rank highly for Seo Services UK with a secondary keyword phrase of Seo Marketing CompanyWe suggest NO MORE than three keyword phrases per title and have gained greatest success with TWO keyword phrases held within the title. This allows for greater targetting and keyword weighting throughout the content of the website page (book)Where To Find Title KeywordsWe would suggest that the initial search for website titles be carried out within the google suggest labs Click on the link to take you to this vital piece of title generation.Once you arrive at the google suggest labs it looks pretty much like any other google search engine query, however once you begin to type in your search query, google will 'suggest' to you the best or most frequently requested queries to the words you are typing. An example : Google suggest that 15.3 million searches are conducted each year through it's google network of partner sites and affiliations for the search term 'seo'Now this of course becomes a very useful little tool, since you can now see how many times your search term (title) has been searched for within the google network. To refine the search for longer tails (more possible title suggestions) just place a space following your main word, this will send up another set of results for you to consider.Once you are satisfied with a particular keyword phrase then we suggest that you click on it to show you the amount of competition that exists for that 'title'To receive a true competition analysis we further suggest that you surround the keyword phrase in what we term quote marks
